EarthScope National Meeting

The 2017 EarthScope National Meeting will be held May 16–18, 2017, at the Dena'ina Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Conference highlights include research showcasing the results of pioneering EarthScope studies—presented during poster and talk sessions—and an optional field trip led by local EarthScope scientists. Early career scientists are strongly encouraged to attend (funding for student and postdoc attendees is available; applications via the website). Pre-meeting workshops and short courses will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017. Registration & program information are available on the IRIS website.

EarthScope Visualization Challenge is Now Open!

Visuals are a highly effective and often creative means of communicating ideas and discoveries with both the general public and the broader scientific community. To that end, the EarthScope National Office is hosting an annual competition to highlight and celebrate the most effective, stunning, and stimulating visuals conveying the work of EarthScope scientists. If you have been conceptualizing and drafting your EarthScope results via an aesthetic form, now is the time to share! More information, including categories and prizes, on our webpage.
